THE WINNING RECIPE

And the winner of the Greenlight Coach Recipe Competition is: Randall Bobbitt

I love the way he wrote to me as if I were a 6-year-old cooking. He kept in mind my health, that I don’t like to food shop very often, and pointed out the easy one pan, one plate clean up.

Honorable mention goes to:
Robert Starling for giving me an action plan for meeting a man who will cook for me again!
Rebecka Smith’s Ewie Gooie Cake (unfortunately this would give me an ewie gooie butt, and that would cause a conflict with Robert’s plan)
Andrew’s eggs with bananas- HE KNOWS WHY
And finally Jim M, who flat out offered to come over and cook for me. *Note to self: TAKE JIM UP ON HIS OFFER!!!

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU who submitted! I will try them all out at some point, unless, of course, Robert’s plan works. This was the greatest response I received from a newsletter yet! It was so much fun to hear from all of you! As promised, here’s the winning recipe:

RANDO’S PROTEIN BREAKFAST

Healthy and Fast. The best part about this breakfast is you can buy all the food and it’ll keep good for the entire week. Oh yeah, and it tastes really good.

Egg Whites (in a carton)
Baby Spinanch (from a bag – should last all week)
2 slices of lean turkey lunchmeat
1 Slice of Whole Wheat Toast
Mrs. Dash (or Similar kind of all in one seasoning)
1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
A pinch Grated Cheese (non-fat if you can get it)

PUT OIL IN PAN
Let it heat up for a minute.

PUT IN SPINACH
A small handful. This stuff is cheap and good for you. Don’t be shy. Cook for about a min. ALWAYS BE STIRRING.

PUT BREAD IN TOASTER
Yes. This cooks quick and fast. So, you want your bread to be ready at the same time.

TOSS IN TURKEY
Cut it into small pieces or just tear it up in the pan. Throw this in after cooking the spinach for a min. Cook for only about a min. ALWAYS BE STIRRING.

POUR IN EGG WHITES
Pour in what should look like 2 eggs worth. Enough to cover the pan but the turkey and the spinach should stick out and not be covered by egg whites. It cooks really quick. No more than a minute. ALWAYS BE STIRRING.

PUT CHEESE ON
Right before you take off the pain.

THIS SHOULD TAKE NO MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES
And you should only have one pan and a plate dirty. That’s it. Quick.
