You may already be working in the entertainment industry or perhaps you are ready to get started now.

Have you ever wondered why some people “make it” and others don’t?

Are you aware of the business side of show business- the vital link between perfecting your craft/trade and getting jobs?

How do you break into an industry that seems to be riddled with “Catch 22’s”?

I was asking myself those same questions when I moved across the country, away from my family and friends, to Los Angeles.

The reason why so many people consult me and attend my seminars is because they’ve exhausted all their other options for getting work. I then teach them established, proven methods for becoming successful in the entertainment industry.

The statistics of the number of people working vs. the people that would like to be working can be intimidating when you are pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. The main reason you struggle is not for lack of talent or skill, it’s because you’ve ONLY been trained at your craft. What’s missing is how to turn that craft into a career. That’s where I come in.

I’m going to help you advance your craft into a career or take your career to the next level, by introducing you to new tools, strategies, and mindsets. I’ve adopted them from the business world and adapted them to the entertainment industry.

I have been working in the entertainment industry for eighteen years as a writer, director, producer, development associate, and an actress. I’ve produced two television pilots and had a script I wrote produced by an Emmy Award winning producer. I’ve been represented by agents and managers. I’ve been in front of the camera and behind the scenes. I’ve worked with Oscar winners and film school students. And most importantly, I’ve been enjoying the journey.

However, it wasn’t always that way. When I first moved out to CA from my home in NY, I left everything that was comfortable and everyone I loved to pursue my dream. I learned too quickly that my expectations were unrealistic. I really thought I was going to move out here and within a year become the next Julia Roberts. Yet, for the first two years I did exactly what I had done in NY- I attended acting classes. I watched as my classmates got jobs, listened as they spoke about their agents and auditions, and felt frustrated because it wasn’t happening for me. I didn’t understand why. I was so committed to my studies, but I didn’t know how to get from where I was to where I wanted to be. Then a friend turned me on to a career coaching seminar. It was the first tool in my tool belt. I’ve continued to educate myself. It’s empowered me to take responsibility for my career and to understand new actions I can take to generate work.

One constant I’ve found in COACHING OVER ONE THOUSAND PEOPLE is that it’s possible for anyone with talent to have success given the correct tools and mindsets. If you have talent without success, it’s because you’re not taking the correct action.
